I believe in God because of the overwhelming evidence of God in the universe that He has created.

(Psa 8:3-4 NKJV) When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, {4} What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?

I believe in God because His Word, as we have it recorded in the Bible is additional evidence of the existence of God.

Read the story of John Clayton. He was an atheist until he met a Christian young lady who would not give up her belief or her morality for John Clayton. John took her as a challenge and decided to write a book about all the stupid things in the Bible. Notebook in hand, he began to read. He read the Bible from cover to cover as he searched for all "the stupid things the Bible says." Somehow he missed them the first time through, so he started over, but again he missed, so that's why he read it the third and forth times in one year, but it was no use. He still missed "the stupid things the Bible says." John went on to spend many years of his life going around the country speaking to all who would listen about his faith in God.
