Updates on Lila
On June 11, 2009 I was in the office of Stewart Title in Cleburne. I told Lori that my sister, Lila had cancer and that I had put an article on my web site that she wrote in the middle of the night after she was told she had cancer. Lori, said, "Well, I'll sure keep her in my prayers." Then she asked a question: "Are you going to post updates on your website?" I said, I hadn't thought of that, but that's a good idea.
Lori is a dear lady. She recently lost her youngest son who was 17 in a car accident involving a young lady about his age. It was totally her fault. She suffered mentally in a terrible way, but, of course, that didn't really ease the terrible loss that Lori and her husband experienced. Now to her suggestion for Lila: the updates:

Lila began feeling bad after going to her therapy today. She was taken to the hospital and is in intensive care with a ventilator. She has fluid on her lungs which is a concern, but they think they can treat it. She is currently in serious to critical condition. Her kids that were not in Midland are headed that way. |
| August 2--4p.m. | Call from my sister Alma | Lila is doing better. Ventilator has been removed. They think the crisis has passed for the moment at least. Thanks for all your prayers. |
| August 7 | Call from my sister Alma | Lila is going to get to go home from the hospital. |
| September 3 | Call from Lila | Scan of her neck region showed no cancer. It may all be gone. Further tests will be done next week, but right not things are looking very good. |
