In our last lesson, we studied the woman who I concluded to be Israel. Our study ended with this verse:

 

Rev 12:17:  And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

 

 

 

(Rev 13:1 NKJV)  Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.

 

(Rev 17:15 NKJV)  Then he said to me, "The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.

 

My conclusion:  The beast rises from the midst of people.  Not from the spiritual realm directly, but from among us.

 

 

(Dan 7:23-25 NKJV)  "Thus he said: 'The fourth beast shall be A fourth kingdom on earth, Which shall be different from all other kingdoms, And shall devour the whole earth, Trample it and break it in pieces. {24} The ten horns are ten kings Who shall arise from this kingdom. And another shall rise after them; He shall be different from the first ones, And shall subdue three kings. {25} He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time.

 

(2 Th 2:8 NKJV)  And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.

 

 

(Dan 12:9-10 NKJV)  And he said, "Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. {10} "Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.

 

(2 Th 2:9-12 NKJV)  The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, {10} and with all unright-eous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. {11} And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,

(2 Th 2:12) that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

 

 

(Rev 13:2 NKJV)  Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.

 

(Dan 7:4-6 NKJV)  "The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; . . . {5} "And suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear. It was raised up on one side, and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said thus to it: 'Arise, devour much flesh!' {6} "After this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it.

 

Today, the lion is the symbol of Great Britan

Eagle’s winds – The symbol of America is the Eagle – We were “plucked off” – we declared our independence.

The bear is the symbol of Russia

The leopard is the symbol of Germany.

which had on its back four wings of a bird. – Some say this represents the 4^th Reich of Germany.  We’ve had three.  Will there be a rise of Germany one more times?  Only God knows.  We are just asking, what is He telling us?

 

 

(Dan 8:23-26 NKJV)  "And in the latter time of their kingdom, When the transgressors have reached their fullness (complete), A king shall arise, Having fierce features, Who understands sinister schemes (skilled in intrigue [NASB]) .

{24} His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; (the devil’s power) He shall destroy fearfully, And shall prosper and thrive; He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people.

He shall destroy . . . the holy people.  Sounds like the anti-Christ.

 

Daniel 8:25: "Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; And he shall exalt himself in his heart. (Probably against God.) He shall destroy many in their prosperity. He shall even rise against the Prince of princes; But he shall be broken without human means. {26} "And the vision of the evenings and mornings Which was told is true; Therefore seal up the vision, For it refers to many days in the future."

 

 

(2 Th 2:3-4 NKJV)  Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, {4} who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

 

 

(Rev 17:14 NKJV)  "These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful."

 

 

(Rev 19:20 NKJV)  Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.

 

Now back to:  (Rev 13:3 NKJV)  And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast.

“his deadly wound was healed” Who is this?

  It would seem to be a country that has been counted out, and now it returns to power.

 

I don’t know who this is. 

I’ll make some suggestions:

It may well be one of the countries that the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation deal with:

There appears to be a reference to Germany

Rome was very prominent in the history of the world, and the Bible.  The “Holy Roman Empire”

Babylon – Saddam Hussein

 

 

(Rev 13:4-8 NKJV)  So they worshiped the dragon (the devil) who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?" {5} And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. {6} Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.

(Rev 13:7) It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. {8} All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

 

(Rev 13:9 NKJV)  If anyone has an ear, let him hear.

That means, this is important! 

Pay attention!

  This is more important than life and death, this affects where you will spend eternity!

  Hard times are coming!

   Don’t give in to the Anti-Christ! 

He is going to be the big time loser, but he will deal Christians a lot of grief before his defeat!

 

(Rev 13:10 NKJV)  He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

 

“He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword.”

 

That means you are going to get what you have coming unless you are a Christian.  Pay back time is coming!  That includes the Anti-Christ as we have already seen.

 

Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

 

What does that mean?

 

It means that the saints are going to need faith and patience to get through the tough times, if they are caught up in all of this:

If they have not been counted worthy to escape the horrors of the Anti-Christ.
