The Venus congregation has helped with supporting Jim in his work with World Bible School, and in making numerous mission trips to Ghana and Cameroon.  Today, he made a special presentation during our Bible School.  Below, you will find his notes for his sermon which he will deliver at the 11:00 o'clock service

 

Title:  My Salvation Prompts Evangelism

Aim: To motivate the brethren to share

Their faith

 

INTRODUCTION

 

A.      We have been told to go into all the world.  Mk 16:15              

B.      What will motivate us to be equal to the challenge?

1.      Living a surrendered life

C.      II Kings 6:24ff

BODY

 

I.  The Great Famine

            A. Great is a relative term

II. The 4 Lepers

A.      Arameans flee

B.  They have hit the jackpot

C. The lepers came to understand that it is right to share good news

III. Application

            A. Mark 1:40-45

            B. We are the leper

            C. When we grasped where we were and what the Lord has done for us, our mouths will speak freely.

 

CONCLUSION

 

            A. I want to return to something I said a few minutes ago: it is NORMAL to share good news.

            B. When we understand what we were without Jesus and what He has done for us; we will share the good news.

            C. The growth of any local body will be in proportion to the amount of seed sown by the members.
